EXCERPTS:

Olan didn’t intend to actually steal the raft. He didn’t know how to control it. It floated where the wind and currents took it. After Iam jumped in the water, Olan didn’t have a clue what to do. He already was sorry for taking it.

(from “The Journey Begins”)

I am looked straight into the very orange eyes of a very orange mermaid. Her hair, her skin, her scales—everything about her glowed orange. Iam thought her the most wondrous creature he had ever seen.

(from “Crossing the Dragon Channel”)

It was a small clearing. Floating in the middle of it was a sparkling ball of light.

As Candace and Iam stepped closer it began to twinkle and fade, revealing an elegant fairy. Her wings were spun gold in the sunlight. Her dress shimmered as if made of moonbeams, and her magic wand had a real Star Child perched on its tip.

“I’ve been expecting you.” She said.
